July 22 (SeeNews) - The volume of construction works in Croatia grew 3.3% on the year in May, accelerating from a 1.0% year-on-year increase in April, working-day adjusted data from the statistics bureau showed on Friday.
On a seasonally and working-day adjusted monthly comparison basis, the volume of construction works increased 1.3% in May after shrinking 1.3% in April, the stats office said in a statement.
The volume of construction works on buildings rose 10.3% on the year in May, after increasing 8.7% a month earlier, while the volume of civil engineering works fell 2.6% after dropping 5.7% in April.
On a monthly basis, the buildings index edged down 0.1% in May after falling 0.3% a month earlier, while civil engineering works grew 2.6% after declining 2.6% in April.
