March 31 (SeeNews) - Croatia's current account surplus increased to 1.6 billion euro ($1.7 billion) in 2019, from 982 million euro a year earlier, the central bank, HNB, said on Tuesday.
In the fourth quarter of 2019, Croatia's current account deficit narrowed to 592 million euro, from 874 million euro in the like period of 2018, data posted on the website of HNB showed.
Trade in goods showed a deficit of 2.396 billion euro in the October-December period, while trade in services recorded a surplus of 1.083 billion euro.
Primary income deficit amounted to 61 million euro, whereas surplus in secondary income came in at 781 million euro in the fourth quarter of 2019.
