ZAGREB (Croatia), September 13 (SeeNews) – Croatia's central bank said it has given its consent for the merger of local Splitska Banka into OTP Banka Hrvatska, a unit of Hungarian financial services group OTP.
"The Croatian National Bank has approved the request of OTP Banka d.d., Zadar and Splitska Banka d.d., Split for the merger of Splitska Banka d.d. into OTP Banka d.d.", the central bank said in a statement on Wednesday.

It did not provide any additional details.
In May 2017, OTP purchased a 100% stake in Splitska Banka, a former member of French banking group Societe Generale, for 425 million euro ($494 million).
