October 12 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose 8.9% year-on-year to 804 in August, after growing by an annual 17.7% in July, the statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased by 15% on the year to 719 in August, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering projects fell to 85, down 24.8% compared to August 2020, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report.
Out of all permits issued in August, 77% covered new construction projects, while 23% were issued for reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in August, 1,298 dwellings are planned to be built, up 9.6% year-on-year.
The number of building permits issued in the first seven months of 2021 rose 18% year-on-year.
