February 12 (SeeNews) - The total number of building permits issued in Croatia in 2019 rose 5.6% year-on-year, reaching 9,932, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of construction permits issued in Croatia in December rose by 5.7% year-on-year to 850, after adding 2.6% in the previous month, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The number of permits issued for buildings added 12% on the year to 707 in December, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works fell 16.9% to 143.
Out of the total number of permits issued in December, 75% were for new construction projects, while 25% were related to reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in December, 1,638 dwellings are planned to be built, up 63% year-on-year.
