March 14 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose by 19.1% on the year to 937 in January, the statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 15.2% year-on-year to 789 in January, while the number of permits for civil engineering projects rose 45.1% to 148, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report.
Out of all permits issued in January, 789 covered new construction projects, while 148 were issued for reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in January, 1,396 dwellings are planned to be built, down 9.8% on the year.
The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose by 5.8% year-on-year to 11,165 in 2022.
