May 15 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose by 17.3% on the year to 1,211 in March, the statistical office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 16.3% year-on-year to 1,068 in March, while the number of permits for civil engineering projects rose 25.4% to 143, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report.
Out of all permits issued in March, 977 covered new construction projects, while 234 were issued for reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in March, 1,826 dwellings are planned to be built, down 6.2% on the year.
The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose by 5.8% year-on-year to 11,165 in 2022.
