December 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia increased by 21.2% year-on-year to 1,017 in October, after rising by 5.3% in the previous month, the national statistical office said on Thursday.
The number of permits issued for buildings rose by 18.5% on the year in October to 613, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works rose by 36.5% to 172, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in October reached 3.347 billion kuna ($515.4 million/452.8 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in October, 747 covered new construction projects, while 270 were related to reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in October, 1,295 dwellings were planned, up 12.9% year-on-year.
