April 12 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia increased by 8.2% year-on-year to 814 in February, after rising by 1.2% in the previous month, the national statistical office said on Thursday.
The number of permits issued for buildings rose 13.1% on the year in February to 691, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works fell 12.8% to 123, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in February reached 2.1 billion kuna ($349 million/282.9 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in February, 571 were for new construction projects, while 243 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in February, 1,372 dwellings were planned, up 25.3% year-on-year.
