August 14 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia rose by 21.4% on the year in June to 731, after increasing by 7.4% to 854 in the previous month, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings rose 15.5% on the year to 588 in June, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works increased 54% to 143, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
Out of the total number of permits issued in June, 73.5% were for new construction projects, while 26.5% were related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in June, 1,043 dwellings are planned to be built, up 33.4% year-on-year.
The total number of building permits issued in Croatia in January-June rose 11.3% year-on-year, reaching 4,955.
