September 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia in July rose by 18% on the year to 798, after increasing by 21% to 731 in the previous month, the statistical office said on Friday.
The number of permits issued for buildings rose 20% on the year to 689 in July, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works increased 5.8% to 109, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
Out of the total number of permits issued in July, 75% were for new construction projects, while 25% were related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in July, 1,209 dwellings are planned to be built, up 40% year-on-year.
The total number of building permits issued in Croatia in January-July rose 12% year-on-year, reaching 5,753.
