February 14 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia edged down by 0.1% year-on-year to 9,406 in 2018, the statistical office said.
In December 2018 alone, there was an annual decrease by 2.5% to 804 building permits issued, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report on Wednesday.
Of the total number of permits issued in December, 632 were issued for buildings, down 7.5%, and 172 for civil engineering works, up 21.1%.
By type of works, 72.6% of permits were issued for new construction and 27.4% for reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits, there were 1,008 dwellings planned, down 20.8% compared to December 2017.
