November 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia in September fell by 1% year-on-year to 909, after edging up 0.7% to 765 in the previous month, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings rose 4.3% on the year to 782 in September, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works decreased 24.4% to 127, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
Out of the total number of permits issued in September, 86% were for new construction projects, while 14% were related to reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in September, 1,137 dwellings are planned to be built, up 8.9% year-on-year.
The total number of building permits issued in Croatia in January-September rose 7.5% year-on-year, reaching 7,427.
