August 14 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia decreased by 18.2% year-on-year to 602 in June, after falling by 7.7% in the previous month, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings fell 16.3% on the year in June to 509, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works dropped 27.3% to 93, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in June reached 1.4 billion kuna ($214.7 million/188.6 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in June, 440 were for new construction projects, while 162 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in June, 782 dwellings were planned, up 6.1% year-on-year.
