June 4 (SeeNews) - Croatian packaging materials and equipment producer Bomark Packaging plans to complete two projects worth some 137 million kuna ($21 million/18 million euro) in total this year, local media reported on Tuesday.
The projects, which are supported by EU funding, include the supply of new equipment and the expansion of current capacities, news daily Poslovni Dnevnik quoted company officials as saying.
The first project, one of the largest in the company's history, is worth 92 million kuna, of which 26 million is EU co-financing. In the course of the project, Bomark has installed most up-to-date equipment and machines for stretch plastic film production, which will improve the quality of the end product and reduce waste.
The second project concerns the expansion of Bomark's production capacities through the construction of a new production hall and the supply of new PRINT technology, which will provide for production of stretch film of best quality.
The second project is worth 45.4 million kuna with 12.8 million kuna coming from EU cohesion funds.
Bomark Packaging is a member of Bomark Group, a company that has grown from a small family distribution business into a manufacturer and distributor operating throughout Europe. It was founded in 2005 and is the only Croatian producer of stretch films.
