February 27 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR-R-A] said on Thursday that its net profit after minority interests soared by 59.8% year-on-year to 390.4 million kuna ($57.2 million/52.3 million euro) in 2019.
Total sales revenue rose 3.3% to 5.5 billion kuna last year, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 26.1% to 778.7 million kuna, Atlantic Grupa said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
As regards individual markets, the highest growth of 19.2% was recorded on Other Regional markets, where sales reached 419.3 million kuna, or 7.7% of total sales, recorded primarily due to the increase in sales in the markets of North Macedonia and Montenegro.
The Croatian market followed with growth of 8.6% to 1.9 billion kuna, or 34.7% of all sales. The third-highest growth rate, of 3.8%, was achieved on the market of Slovenia, which contributed 17.4% of total sales, or 943.1 million kuna.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, sales increased 2% to 430.3 million kuna or 7.9% of the total, while the Serbian market added 1.2% to 1.3 billion kuna, or 23.8% of total sales.
Sales in Russia and CIS decreased 12.2% to 156.5 million kuna, while sales on key European markets fell 19.9% to 220.5 million kuna. Sales dropped 21.3% on Other markets to 85.5 million kuna.
Atlantic Grupa is a regional distributor of fast-moving consumer goods and a producer of functional foods and supplements. It also owns a pharmacy chain in Croatia.
