September 6 (SeeNews) - Croatian hotel operator Arena Hospitality Group said on Thursday it will commence the renovation and repositioning of its Arena Kazela Campsite in the seaside town of Medulin in the last quarter of this year.
The extensive renovation and repositioning programme is expected to upgrade Kazela to a four-star product, the company said in a Zagreb bourse filing.
The works will include new infrastructure for all pitches and mobile homes including water, electricity and wi-fi; 250 new mobile homes; two new swimming pools; and an upgrade of other facilities.
Kazela is Arena’s largest campsite and offers nearly 69 hectares with a combination of mobile homes, campsite pitches and self-catering apartments.
Arena noted it is progressing with its investments in Germany and is planning to shortly commence the refurbishment of art’otel berlin kudamm. The works are planned to include a redesign and refurbishment of the public areas and all guestrooms.
Arena Hospitality Group is run by the Guernsey-registered hospitality company PPHE Hotel Group. In 2016, it acquired from PPHE Hotel Group 88% of its German and Hungarian operations, consisting of seven Park Plaza and art’otel branded hotels.
As at December 2016, Arenaturist owned, co-owned, leased or managed 15 hotels, four self-catering holiday apartment complexes and eight campsites.
