March 16 (SeeNews) - Croatia's annual inflation slowed to 0.8% in February from 1.1% in the previous month, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) dropped 0.1% in February, after falling 0.2% in January, the Bureau of Statistics said.
Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices, which have the biggest weight of 27.90% in the consumer basket, climbed 0.4% on the year last month, after rising 1.0% in January.
The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, with a 16.22% weight, increased 2.2% year-on-year in February after rising by 2.6% in January.
Transport segment, which has a 12.58% weight, recorded annual inflation of 0.2% in February, lower than 0.4% in the previous month.
Croatia's average annual inflation was 1.1% in 2017, compared to deflation of 1.1% in 2016.
