November 16 (SeeNews) - Croatia's annual inflation remained stable at 1.4% in October, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Month-on-month, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) edged up 0.4% in October, after rising 1.5% in September, the Bureau of Statistics said.
Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices, which have the biggest weight of 27.64% in the consumer basket, climbed 3.2% on the year last month, after rising 3.4% in September.
The housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels prices, with a 16.58% weight, declined 0.9% in October after falling by the same rate in September, while the transport segment, which has a 12.48% weight, recorded an annual inflation of 1.9% in October, down from a 2.2% growth in the previous month.
In 2016, Croatia's consumer prices fell by an annual average of 1.1% after a 0.5% contraction in 2015.
