April 16 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer price inflation quickened to 0.9% year-on-year in March from 0.5% in the previous month, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 1% in March, after edging up 0.2% in February, the Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly inflation report.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 27.81% in the consumer basket, fell 0.7% year-on-year last month, after dropping 0.8% in February.
Prices of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels, with a 16.44% weight, added 2.8% in March after rising 2.9% in February.
Prices of transport services, which have a 12.43% weight, increased by 0.9% in March, following a decrease of 0.5% in the previous month.
Croatia's average annual inflation accelerated to 1.5% last year, from 1.1% in 2017.
