July 19 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Alpha Adriatic [ZSE:ULPL] will propose to its shareholders to retain 10.3 million kuna ($1.4 million/1.37 million euro) out of its 10.7 million kuna net profit for 2021, it said on Tuesday.
The remaining 386,000 kuna will be distributed as dividend to the holders of preferred shares, the company said in a filing with the Zagreb bourse.
Alpha Adriatic's share capital totals 239.7 million kuna, according to data of the court register of companies. It has issued 580,000 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 400 kuna per share and 77,212 preferred shares with a nominal value of 100 kuna each, data of the central depository and clearance agency, SKDD, showed. Only the ordinary shares of the company are listed on the Zagreb bourse.
The shareholders will vote on the proposal on August 26. Last year, they decided to cover the company's loss of 84.4 million kuna for 2020 with retained profit.
Alpha Adriatic's ordinary shares traded 4.55% higher at 115 kuna intraday on Tuesday on the Zagreb bourse.
