April 25 (SeeNews) - Retail and wholesale companies within Croatia's ailing Agrokor concern are suffering from labour shortages ahead of the busy summer season, the government said.
Representatives of oil producer Zvijezda, drink co Jamnica, food companies Ledo and PIK Vrbovac, retailer Konzum, and wholesalers Velpro and Roto Dinamic met with Croatia's economy minister Martina Dalic and Agrokor's crisis manager Fabris Perusko on Tuesday to discuss their business operations, the government said in a statement following the meeting.
"The management of all companies highlighted the problem of labour shortages as the biggest business challenge, especially in retail, transportation and in highly qualified vocational occupations," the government noted.
It added that the companies also showed their full support and dedication to the settlement process in Agrokor and its successful completion.
The shares of Agrokor units have been suspended from trading on the Zagreb Stock Exchange since February, as the companies are yet to publish their 2017 financial statements.
The last trading day was February 20.
