June 12 (SeeNews) - All but one of the listed units of Croatia's ailing concern Agrokor that published their preliminary financial results for the first four months of 2018 on Tuesday reported positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA).
News stand operator Tisak [ZSE:TISK] recorded a negative EBITDA of 8.9 million kuna ($1.4 million/1.2 million euro), with a negative EBITDA margin of 1.6%, according to preliminary results submitted to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) by the company.
Tisak, however, recorded the largest revenue among Agrokor's listed units, of 549 million kuna in the four months through April. The company's gross margin stood at 23.2%.
Soft drinks and water bottling company Jamnica [ZSE:JMNC] maintained the largest EBITDA, of 49.9 million kuna, with a margin of 16.5%. Its revenue reached an estimated 302 million kuna.
Food company Belje [ZSE:BLJE] reported EBITDA of 38.4 million kuna and a margin of 10.3%. Its revenue came in at 373 million kuna.
Ice cream and frozen food company Ledo [ZSE:LEDO] followed with an estimated EBITDA of 32.8 million kuna and a margin of 11.8%. Its reported four-month revenue totalled 277 million kuna.
Meat processing company PIK-Vinkovci [ZSE:PIVK] posted EBITDA of 9.8 million kuna, with a margin of 4.9%. Its revenue was 200 million kuna in the four months ended April 30.
Agricultural conglomerate Vupik [ZSE:VPIK] reported an estimated EBITDA of 5.5 million kuna with an 8.0% margin. Its revenues totalled 69 million kuna, the lowest among the revenues of Agrokor's listed companies.
Edible oil, mayonnaise and margarine producer Zvijezda [ZSE:ZVZD] and wholesaler Zitnjak [ZSE:ZTNJ] did not publish their estimated results for the first four months.
