ZAGREB (Croatia), June 9 (SeeNews) – Croatia's trade deficit widened to 22.7 billion kuna ($3.69 billion/3.03 billion euro) in the first four months of 2021, compared with a gap of 21.9 billion in the same period of 2020, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Exports rose 19.9% on the year to 41.6 billion kuna in January-April 2021, while imports grew 13.5% to 64.2 billion kuna, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement, citing preliminary data.
Croatia's exports to the European Union increased 17.3% year-on-year to 27.9 billion kuna in the review period. The country's imports from the EU rose 11.4% to 50.4 billion kuna.
