November 15 (SeeNews) - Croatia's wine producers recorded a loss of 53.5 million kuna ($8.1 million/7.1 million euro) last year, higher than the loss of 11.3 million kuna reported for 2019, state-owned financial agency Fina said.
A total of 254 wine producers reported a total revenue of 529.1 million kuna last year, down 21.1% on 2019, Fina said in a statement.
Agrolaguna generated the highest revenue among wine makers in Croatia last year, of 92.3 million kuna, followed by Djakovacka vina and Vinoplod-Vinarija.
The country's 119 winegrowers swung to a consolidated loss of 42.7 million kuna last year from a profit of 28.3 million kuna in 2019. Their consolidated revenue dropped 18.7% on the year to 354.3 million kuna.
Croatia's wine producers had 1,233 employees last year, while winegrowers had 868 employees.
