March 19 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest telecommunications operator, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], said on Monday it now holds 315,813 of its own shares, representing 0.385662% of the company's issued share capital.
Prior to launching its share buyback programme on July 3, 2017 Hrvatski Telekom (HT) owned 2,966 treasury shares.
On March 15, HT acquired 797 own shares at 165.3137 kuna ($27.3/22.2 euro) apiece, while a day later it purchased 183 shares at 165.00 kuna each, the company said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
HT's share capital of 9.8 billion kuna is divided into 81,888,535 shares without nominal value.
The telco aims to purchase up to 2,500,000 of its own shares by April 20, 2021 under the share buyback programme. Hrvatski Telekom will spend up to 500 million kuna to finance the share buyback.
Hrvatski Telekom serves 875,000 fixed lines, 2.24 million mobile subscribers, and 624,000 broadband connections.
