June 23 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) slightly advanced on Wednesday in relatively low regular turnover, while shares in shipping companies Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL], Alpha Adriatic [ZSE:ULPL] and Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] soared, bourse data showed.
The ZSE's 18-share benchmark CROBEX index advanced 0.37%, closing at 1,988.49 points.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.05% to close at 1,220.39 points.
Jadroplov's shares rose 10.17% to 39 kuna ($6.22/5.20 euro) in a turnover of 144,000 kuna.
Shares of another shipping company, Alpha Adriatic, gained 9.60% to 68,50 kuna in a turnover of some 9,000 kuna, while shipping company Atlantska Plovidba rose 5.88% to 432 kuna in a turnover of 517,600 kuna.
No company recorded a share trading turnover above the one million-kuna mark in regular trading. The biggest turnover of 687,000 kuna was generated by telco HT [ZSE:HT-R-A] which ended unchanged at 184 kuna.
Fertiliser producer Petrokemija's [ZSE:PTKM] shares closed 6.12% lower at 46 kuna in a turnover of 3,796 kuna as 80 shares changed hands after it announced that it will prolong the shutdown for technical maintenance of its ammonia and urea manufacturing plants.
The bourse's total turnover rose to 32.35 million kuna on Wednesday from 18.2 million kuna on Monday as Tuesday was a national holdiay in Croatia. However, the regular turnover was only 3.3 million kuna, while block trading in the shares of telco HT contributed 29 million kuna of the total turnover.
