July 12 (SeeNews) - Zagreb-based regional magazine IT Netokracija said on Tuesday it has been acquired by Croatian software developer Infobip.
“The biggest technology company in Croatia has just acquired us and we continue to editorially-independent follow the startup and developers' scene, and to create globally a quality developers' content,” Ivan Brezak Brkan, founder and editor of Netokracija said in a statement posted on the website of the magazine.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Netokracija is focused on digital business and startups, marketing and culture. It was set up as a media startup 13 years ago.
Infobip Group is a global cloud communications platform company for customer engagement.
In September 2021, Infobip secured, through direct loan placement, additional funding in the amount of $500 million (499 million euro) led by funds managed by the Credit Group of Ares Management Corporation, and funds and accounts managed by BlackRock. It was Infobip’s second funding round, following One Equity Partner’s 300 million euro investment in the second half of 2020.
Infobip Group said in November last year that it has entered into a definitive agreement to take over US VoIP provider Peerless Network. Its previous acquisitions included US messaging heavyweight OpenMarket, which closed in December 2020, developer Shift Conference franchise, purchased in April 2021, and the world’s number one SMS firewall provider, Anam, in May 2021.
