June 8 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) slightly advanced on Wednesday, erasing part of their losses from Tuesday, as blue chips Hrvatski Telekom and Podravka rebounded, bourse data showed.
The 23-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, added 0.06% to finish at 2,098.47 points.
The narrower CROBEX10 which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.20% to end at 1,242.38 points.
Just like in the previous two trading days, software company SPAN [ZSE:SPAN] was the most traded company. On Wednesday its shares increased 1.89% to end at 270 kuna in a turnover of 994,300 kuna ($142,000/132,000 euro). SPAN is a component of the CROBEX index, but is not included in the CROBEX10.
Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] ranked second by turnover in regular trading with 601,000 kuna, ending flat at 424 kuna. Besides, in block trading they generated a further 2.1 million kuna turnover.
In lower turnovers, shares of index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] rose 0.56% to end at 178 kuna, and food and pharmaceuticals producer [ZSE:PODR] Podravka gained 1.01% to 600 kuna.
The biggest daily gainers on Wednesday were shares of hotel owner Hoteli Haludovo Malinska [ZSE:HHLD] and holding company Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH], which rose 18.11% and 14.44% respectively.
The bourse's total turnover fell to 5.7 million kuna from 6.0 million kuna on Tuesday.
