December 23 (SeeNews) - The main share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended mixed on Thursday, the last trading day before Christmas, amid gains in ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] and OT-Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE], and losses in Hrvatski Telecom [ZSE:HT] and hotel operator Valamar [ZSE:RIVP], bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 21-share benchmark CROBEX index closed at 2,042.76 points, up 0.05%.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, declined 0.37% to finish at 1,245.34 points.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla was the most traded stock on Thursday, recording a turnover of 2.3 million kuna ($346,000/306,000 euro). Its share price rose 1.40% to end at 1,815 kuna following Wednesday's news that it has signed several deals for enlargement of mobile networks in Croatia, Kosovo and Belarus with a total value of 38 million kuna.
Second in terms of daily turnover ranked lender Hrvatska Postanska Banka [ZSE:HPB]. Its share price surged 3.91% to end at 665 kuna in a turnover of 2.2 millon kuna.
Shares of blue-chip and index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom dipped 0.27% to end at 183.50 kuna in a turnover of 688,000 kuna.
Fixed internet and pay-TV services provider OT-Optima Telekom gained 1.59% to end at 5.10 kuna in a turnover of 652,000 kuna on the news that Croatia's competition watchdog approved on Thursday its acquisition by Dutch-based multi-play and media provider United Group operating in Croatia under the Telemach brand.
Shares of mechanical engineering company Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH] slumped 39.50% to end at 2.42 kuna in a turnover of 567,000 kuna after the European Commission announced it has approved Croatia's plans to grant the company aid for restructuring in the amount of 430.6 million kuna.
Shares of Valamar Rviera lost 0.93% to end at 31.90 kuna in a turnover of 127,000 kuna after the company' announced that it has launched a 525 million kuna investment programme together with partners this autumn aimed at improving the quality of hotels, summer resorts and campsites under its management, and promoting green tourism and digitalisation.
The ZSE's turnover totalled 8.6 million kuna on Thursday, little changed compared to 8.7 million kuna on Wednesday.
The Zagreb bourse will be closed on Friday for Christmas Eve.
