March 4 (SeeNews) - Croatian retailer Spar Hrvatska said it is open to merger and acquisition opportunities, Croatian media reported on Friday.
“When it comes to mergers and acquisitions, we are open for discussions. At this moment we are not planning anything specific, but we are open to all options," Croatian business portal Bankamagazine (www.bankamagazine.hr) quoted Spar Hrvatska's director, Danijel Vidis, as saying.

Spar Hrvatska posted a loss of 15 million euro ($20.8 million) in 2010 and expects similar results in 2011, Bankamagazine said.
Spar Hrvatska operates 15 hypermarkets and three supermarkets in Croatia.
It is 100%-owned by food retailer Spar Austria Group.
