August 8 (SeeNews) - Croatia's telecommunications regulator HAKOM said it has obliged telecommunications operators to eliminate long-term evolution (LTE) interference with the reception of digital terrestrial television (DTT) signal.
Users should contact Croatian state-owned fixed and mobile telecommunication services provider Odasiljaci i Veze (OiV) if they encounter DDT signal interference allegedly caused by LTE, HAKOM said in a statement on Monday.
The regulator took the decision on July 13 and has already communicated it to mobile operators Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] and Vipnet, HAKOM said.
HAKOM started a test period in 2013 together with OiV to resolve the interferences, caused by base stations operating in the 470-862 MHz spectrum.
