September 24 (SeeNews) - The total net assets of Croatian pension funds reached 136.058 billion kuna ($21.3 billion/18.1 billion euro) at the end of August, up 12.4% year-on-year, data by the country's financial regulator, Hanfa, showed.
On a monthly comparison base, the net assets of Croatian pension funds were 0.9% higher at the end of August, figures showed.
The Adriatic country of some 4 million people had 2.088 members of its 12 mandatory pension funds in August, as well as 345,229 members of its eight open-end voluntary pension funds and 45,415 members of its 20 closed-end voluntary pension funds.
