November 30 (SeeNews) - The Croatian parliament approved the budget for the next year with a deficit equivalent to 2.3% of the planned gross domestic product, local media reported.
The country's first ever budget set in euro was adopted in a 77-50 vote in the 151-seat parliament, public broadcaster HRT reported.
Croatia will join the eurozone as its 20th member as of January 1.
The budget plan envisages overall revenue of almost 25 billion euro ($26 billion) and expenditures of 26.7 billlion euro.
It is based on the assumption that inflation will slow down to 5.7% in 2023 from 10.4% projected for this year.
