September 10 (SeeNews) - Total revenue from mobile services in Croatia amounted to 1.04 billion kuna ($155.9 million/141.2 million euro) in the second quarter of 2019, little changed on an annual comparison basis, data by the country's telecommunications regulator, HAKOM, shows.
The April-June revenue, however, rose 3.29% compared to the first quarter of 2019, according to data published by HAKOM.
The second quarter ended with 4.45 million mobile subscribers, up 1.46% on the year and 2.39% higher compared to the previous quarter.
The mobile penetration rate in Croatia amounted to 103.79% in the second quarter, up 1.46% year-on-year, and 2.39% higher compared to the first quarter. A total of 468.4 million SMS were sent in April-June, down 13.34% on the year and up 1.89% quarter-on-quarter.
Total revenues from fixed services in Croatia were 0.15% lower on the quarter and dropped by 7.49% year-on-year to 325.3 million kuna. The number of subscribers amounted to 1.3 million, down 0.28% on the year, and up 0.14% compared to the first quarter.
Internet access services' total revenue amounted to 1.12 billion kuna, up 2.16% on the year and 3.49% higher quarter-on-quarter. Broadband internet connections amounted to 4.77 million, up 3.71% on both year and quarter.
Mobile broadband subscriptions grew 3.9% year-on-year and rose 4.69% on the quarter to 3.63 million.
Total revenue in the television sector increased by 3.92% year-on-year and grew by 2.29% on the quarter, reaching 197.8 million kuna.
