August 18 (SeeNews) - Croatian hotel operator Maistra [ZSE:MAIS-R-A], a unit of diversified conglomerate Adris Grupa [ZSE:ADRS-R-A], said on Thursday it has opened a new 300 million kuna ($45.4 million/40.1 million euro) hotel, Amarin, on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula in Rovinj.
The hotel offers 280 units overlooking the sea and the old town of Rovinj, and can accommodate some 1,000 visitors, Maistra said in a statement.
Amarin, whose construction began in September last year, also houses indoor and outdoor pools, a wellness and spa with an area covering 1,500 sq m and six restaurants.
To date, Adris has invested 3 billion kuna in its tourism business. This year alone the company has directed 400 million kuna towards tourism and is due to invest a further 1.6 billion within the next three years.
