February 21 (SeeNews) - Croatian hotel operator Maistra [ZSE:MAIS], a unit of diversified conglomerate Adris Grupa, said on Wednesday it has opened an additional 200 jobs, as it strives to increase its employ count to 2,700 to meet demand.
Maistra is looking for new employees to meet the increasing workload in the pre-season and to fill empty positions in its new Grand Park Hotel in Rovinj, it said in a statement.
The company is organising an open interview day on February 28, where potential employees will be able to meet representatives of the hotel group of different occupational profiles.
Earlier this month, Maistra's peer Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] said it will open an additional 600 jobs in 30 hotels and 15 camps in the summer of 2018.
Valamar said at the time it is expanding its workforce in order to accommodate the needs of the upcoming tourism season, following a successful 2017.
Tourism is a key industry for Croatia, contributing around a fifth of the country's gross domestic product.
