November 15 (SeeNews) - Croatia's financial services regulator, Hanfa, said it has granted approval to insurer Merkur Osiguranje to take over 100% of the capital of life insurer Wustenrot Zivotno Osiguranje.
Merkur will buy the insurer from its single owner, Austrian insurer Wustenrot Versicherungs Aktiengesellschaft, Hanfa said in a statement on Monday.

It did not elaborate the value of the deal.
Merkur provides both life and non-life insurance services.
There were 15 insurers registered in the Adriatic country of 3.89 million people last month.
