August 9 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) advanced slightly on Monday, supported by gains in hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE: RIVP], as hotel and port operators' shares were on investors' radars, bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 18-share benchmark CROBEX index closed at 1,961.65 points, up 0.09% from Friday's closing reading.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.37% to finish at 1,209.71 points.
Valamar Riviera was the most traded share on Monday with a turnover of 690,700 kuna ($108,000/92,000) as its price rose 0.34% to end at 29.90 kuna.
The shares of its peer Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ATPL] ended flat at 312 kuna, contributing the second biggest turnover on the ZSE for the day, of 648,000 kuna.
Port operator Luka Ploce [ZSE:LKPC] was the biggest gainer on Monday, as its share price surged 16.67% to 5.95 kuna in a turnover of 152,800 kuna.
Another port operator, Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI], posted the steepest drop in share price on Monday, by 8.78% to 27 kuna, in a turnover of 33,000 kuna.
The ZSE's turnover from regular share trading rose to 5.2 million kuna on Monday from 3.5 million kuna on Friday.
