July 18 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose on Monday, halting a four-day losing streak as despite a lower turnover, most of the blue chips rebounded, a bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, gained 0.37% to end at 1,944.55 points.
The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, advanced 0.47% to close at 1,152.29 points.
Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] was the most traded company on Monday with a turnover of 550,000 kuna ($74,000/73,000 euro). Its shares added 1.89% to end at 432 kuna.
Second by turnover with 546,000 kuna ranked power transformers manufacturer Koncar Distributivni i Specijalni Transformatori (D&ST) [ZSE:KODT], which is not part of the indices. Its shares declined 0.97% to end at 546 kuna.
Shares of food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] went up 0.71% to finish at 564 kuna in a turnover of 470,000 kuna.
In lower turnovers, shares of software developer SPAN [ZSE:SPAN] rose 0.41%, consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] increased 0.67%, shares of hotel owner and manger Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] went up 0.64% and shares of index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] added 0.29%
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 3.4 million kuna from 3.9 million kuna on Friday.
