September 1 (SeeNews) - Gains in food and drugs producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] and hotel operator Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] helped the main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) close higher on Wednesday after a marginal decline on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 18-share benchmark CROBEX added 0.02%, closing at 1,967.92. points.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, gained 0.10% to finish at 1,208.56 points.
Podravka was the most liquid share on Wednesday with a turnover of 2.1 million kuna ($332,000/280,000 euro) as its price increased 0.67%, to end at 600 kuna.
Hotel operator Turisthotel [ZSE:TUHO] was the second most liquid share on Wednesday, generating a turnover of 1.5 million kuna. Its price went up 1.16% to end at 3,500 kuna.
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] declined 1.32% to 29.20 kuna with a turnover of 935,000 kuna.
Shares of Arena Hospitality increased 1.27% to 318 kuna on a turnover of 457,000 kuna.
Shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL] surged 9.80%, the biggest daily gain, to end at 56 kuna.
The ZSE turnover reached 13.3 million kuna, up from 7.5 million kuna on Tuesday, boosted by a block trading of almost 2.9 million kuna with shares of Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:TH].
