August 16 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) kept on rising on Tuesday in a higher turnover, bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, advanced 0.24% to end at 2,010.86 points, its sixth gain in a row. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, edged up 0.17% to finish at 1,198.73 points, rising for a third straight session.
Food and pharmaceuticals company Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most traded company on Tuesday with a turnover of 5.1 million kuna ($694,000/682,000 euro). Its shares lost 1.0% to end at 594 kuna, following solid gains last week.
Hotel company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] ranked second by turnover with 1.6 million kuna. Its shares rose 1.52% to end at 33.30 kuna.
In lower turnovers, shares of ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] increased 1.21%, shares of consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] appreciated 0.77% and shares of hotel owner Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] went up 2.48%.
The bourse's total trading turnover reached 9.8 million kuna from 5.3 million kuna on Friday. On Monday, the bourse was closed due to Assumption Day, a public and market holiday in Croatia.
