August 4 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended narrowly mixed on Thursday in a calm pre-holiday trading marked by a very low turnover, a bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, dipped 0.02% to end at 1,961.30 points. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.02% to close at 1,170.69 points.
Hotel owner and operator Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] was the most traded stock on Thursday with a turnover of 292,000 kuna ($39,800/38,900 euro). Its shares fell 2.46% to end at 238 kuna.
Shares of food and pharmaceuticals producer, index heavyweight Podravka [ZSE:PODR] gained 1.04% to close at 584 kuna in a turnover of 198,000 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover plunged to 1.8 million kuna from some 3 million kuna on Wednesday.
On Friday, the bourse is closed due to Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Day of Croatian Defenders, a public and market holiday. The next trading day is Monday, August 8.
