ZAGREB (Croatia), August 8 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended higher on Monday as trading turnover rose, bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, rose 0.38% to end at 1,968.70 points. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.30% to close at 1,174.14 points, ZSE data showed.
Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] paced the blue-chip gainers, with shares adding 6.38% to 450 kuna.
Hotel owner and operator Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] was the most traded stock on Monday with a turnover of 1.6 million kuna ($217,400/213,000 euro). Its shares rose 1.68% to end at 242 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover jumped to 5.1 million kuna on Monday from 1.8 million kuna on Thursday.
On Friday, the bourse was closed due to Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Day of Croatian Defenders, a public and market holiday.
