March 3 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest dairy company Dukat [ZSE:LURA], a unit of French corporation Lactalis, posted a flattish consolidated net profit in 2020, of 157.2 million kuna ($25 million/20.7 million euro).
Operating income dropped by an annual 1% to 3.9 billion kuna in 2020, while operating costs went down 1.1% to 3.7 billion kuna, Dukat said in its annual financial report published last week.
Sales revenue declined 1.1% to 3.8 billion kuna, with sales on foreign markets rising 4.1% on the year to 2.4 billion kuna and making up 63.3% of total sales. Sales in Croatia fell 9% to 1.4 billion kuna, comprising 36.7% of total sales.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to 188 million kuna in 2020, down by 2.1 million kuna from the prior year.
The Dukat group includes the parent company - Dukat d.d. Zagreb, plus 13 subsidiaries in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Bulgaria.
