July 4 (SeeNews) - The commercial court in Rijeka has postponed a hearing on the launch of bankruptcy proceedings against Croatia's ailing 3 Maj shipyard, the company said on Thursday.
The hearing was re-scheduled for August 1 at 11:00 CET, 3 Maj said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
The financially troubled 3 Maj is part of Croatia's troubled shipbuilding group Uljanik, which is undergoing bankruptcy proceedings.
In March, Croatia's prime minister Andrej Plenkovic said the government had spent 9 billion kuna ($1.4 billion/1.2 billion euro) between 1992 and 2017 to help 3 Maj recover.
In May, a Croatian court launched bankruptcy proceedings against Uljanik Shipyard after in March the country's financial agency FINA requested such proceedings over the shipyard's overdue debt. Subsequently, the court also launched bankruptcy proceedings against the umbrella company Uljanik Group.
