January 7 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Friday ended higher, while the CROBEX10 stagnated in low post-holiday turnover dominated by hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] and lender Hrvatska Postanska Banka [ZSE:HPB], bourse data showed.
The 21-share CROBEX finished at 2.138,85, up 0.33% compared to Thursday's closing price, according to ZSE data. On Thursday, the Zagreb bourse was closed for Epiphany.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, ended flat at 1.294,65 points.
Valamar Riviera was the most traded share with a turnover of 1.4 million kuna (211,000/186,000 euro). Its share price appreciated 1.17% to end at 34.70 kuna.
Shares of Hrvatska Postanska Banka surged 4.05% to end at 770 kuna in a turnover of 460,000 kuna.
Shares of shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] fell 2.65% to end at 404 kuna in a a turnover of 446,000 kuna.
ZSE's turnover dropped to 4.7 million kuna from 7.9 million kuna on Thursday.
