March 13 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports increased to 269,000 in January, up from 170,000 in the same month last year, official statistics showed.
The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports rose 14.6% on the year, reaching 4,584 in January, while cargo volumes fell by 3.5% on the year to 679 tonnes, the statistical office said in a monthly report on Friday.
Zagreb airport served the largest number of passengers in January – 220,000, up by an annual 58% - followed by the airport in Split with 31,000 passengers and Dubrovnik airport with 14,000 passengers.
Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports rose to 9.8 million last year from 4.7 million in 2021, according to official statistics figures published last month.
