November 20 (SeeNews) - Croatia's state property ministry plans to launch a call for binding bids for the construction of tourist complexes in Muzil, Hidrobaza and Saccorgiana on the Istria peninsula, in the country's north, the ministry said on Tuesday.
The projects will include concessions contracts for the use of seaside property and construction rights for a period of 99 years in Muzil and for 50 years in Hidrobaza and Saccorgiana each, the ministry said in a statement.
The total investment in the projects is expected to stand between 2.5 billion kuna ($385 million/337 million euro) and 3.0 billion kuna, the ministry said after the signing of an agreement with the city government of Pula for the launch of the projects.
"For years we have been demanding the state to take steps to put the former military property into use and I must admit that minister Goran Maric and his team have undertaken to revive and implement the projects," Pula mayor Boris Miletic said.
In December 2017, Croatia's state property ministry said it agreed to launch a project for the transformation of former vacation properties of the defence ministry in Muzil, Hidrobaza and Saccorgiana into tourist complexes.
