July 2 (SeeNews) - Croatia's finance minister, Zdravko Maric, said on Monday the government will introduce new tax cuts from January 1.
A new set of tax reform bills has been agreed within the finance ministry and will be put to discussion, Maric said during a conference on the future of Croatia's tax and pension systems in Zagreb aired by public broadcaster HRT.
The potential tax reforms must first receive the support of the ministries, coalition partners and experts, before details are made public, Maric noted.
Croatia lowered its income and corporate taxes at the start of 2017, which led to the first general government budget surplus since the country's independence.
